- Blitz: The League II on the Way
- Posted 3 months ago by 00.19
With an announcement no one was waiting for, Midway revealed plans to bring their ultra-violent excuse to keep talking about Lawrence Taylor, Blitz: The League, to the 360 and PS3 this fall. Along with a new trailer and several screenshots, Midway also revealed an actual writer would be working on the story for the forthcoming football fiasco. Peter Egan, who was responsible for the ESPN television “classic,” Playmakers, will be trying to cram as many references to LT doing coke off a hooker’s bare bottom in the locker room as possible.
While the screens don’t reveal too much, it looks like the relentless brutality the first game made so popular (it did sell a million copies) will return. I’m sure someone out there was really looking forward to playing another season with the aptly named New York Nightmare, and now they’ll get their chance. I prefer my brutal football realities being completely glossed over. Make mine Madden.

im not really lookin forward to the game. actually i probly wont even play it. but if real football was like that with no fouls and a lot of showboating then i'd be watching it every time it came on. but instead im bored out of my mind when i watch it
Give me Mutant League Football... with L.T..... keep the hookers and drugs, thanks all the same.
I'll be picking up Madden instead. If I wanted to play an arcade football game, I rather pick up Blood Bowl. A football game set in the Warhammer universe is much more appealing: http://www.gametrailers.com/player/35536.html
