If you're like me, it's been a long time since you've played a compelling videogame based on a comic franchise. Good news everyone, it appears Sony Online Entertainment and DC may have just solved all our problems. Jim Lee was on hand today at the Sony press conference to introduce the first look at the new DC MMO, DC Universe Online. I've been anticipating this title ever since word first started to spread way back in 2006. Now it seems my hopes of this game ever coming out are finally coming true.
With characters and levels being designed under the attentive eye of master comic artist Jim Lee, and the power of the PS3 behind the graphics, there's just no way for this game to look bad. I mean, Green Lantern even has a green glow around him when he flies. That's one of the little details that could really cement this game as the superhero MMO of this generation. I'm still waiting to see what Champions Online brings to the table, but for now, Sony and DC have me under their Pavlovian spell. Stay tuned to Gamervision's E3 coverage as we'll be talking to SOE about DCU Online later this week.

oh, well since all the main hereos are npc's then i'm really excited about this game now
I'm going to pick up this game for sure........
Yeah, all the big name heroes are NPCs.
or villain.
I'm pretty sure you make your own hero like CoH/CoV to fight alongside DC Heroes who will be NPC's.
so a dc mmo where you have to be dc characters? so theres gonna be 300 batmans and 400 supermans all running around....idk i'm not really lookin forward to this
