- Possible Gears of War 2 Release Date Revealed

While we were in attendance at Wizard World Philadelphia this past weekend, we took a chance on going to a panel on Saturday for a then unheard of company called Triforce. As we reported two days ago, Triforce will be making replica Gears of War armor, weapons and busts. But that wasn’t the biggest news to come out of the panel. That distinct honor goes to Lester Speight, otherwise known as Augustus Cole “Train.”
During the Q & A, a fan asked if Cole would actually be in Gears of War 2. Lester said, “We can’t talk about it now, but you will not be disappointed.” He also snuck this little tidbit in: “We can talk about it November 16th.” WHAT?! Did he just really reveal the release date for what could be the biggest game of 2008 at a tiny little panel at a comic convention?
The game is rumored for a November release (according to Game Stop reserve lists), and I wouldn’t be surprised if the date was accurate. How happy Epic will be that this news leaked at an event where they had no representation remains to be seen. Gamervision will keep you in the know as more on Gears 2 develops, so stay tuned.

That's what they get for telling him the release date. Obviously, he's just a loud mouthed actor. Why would you give him ANY time-sensitive/important intel?!?
