So tell me what do you get when bungie has the best multiplayer xbox live game and then a better one comes out???..... NEW HALO 3 MAPS!!!!!

 As you may or may not know today bungie released the first downloadable maps for Halo 3. These maps consist of....

STANDOFF

          RAT'S NEST

and FOUNDRY

As rumor around xbox live is.... Bungie had to create these maps to keep up with Call Of Duty 4. Many of thier players were switching due to COD4's amazing multiplayer.

But anyway here's my reviews of the new halo map pack. I'll start of with Standoff. This is the map i probally have played ont eh most so far. Smaller than it looks. I've found that the way to get kills on this map is to not hop in a worthog and splatter all in sight.. but to simply grab a Battle Rifle (that is if your beat to the rockets). Im not a big fan of the BR but on this map it works great. This map is pretty fun to play on. My only real problem with it is that I expected it to be much bigger as bungie said that it would be completly ideal for Big Team Battle.

The next map is Rat's Nest. I have not played this map that much but I have easily develpoed my own style of play on it. It seems that when the game starts people rush to the Worthogs and Mongooses and then less then a minute later appear and dead X's on my screen. This map is like a giant indoor race course. I've found it to be easier to simply roam around the middle of the course with plasma grenade in hand to stick any enemy vehicles. Only playing two games on this map so far I can not say much about it. But it is not one that really appeals to me.

The last map is Foundry, my favorite of the three. I have yet to really truely experiment with it in forge but even in matchmaking it is fun. The un-edited versian of teh map is jsut like a giant junkyard. Random crates and fences are everywhere. It is very easy to find someone and go head to head with them. This is a map for the reative people that have great ideas for maps. this is basicly a chance to make your very own map from the ground up. This map is also good for those that liek to be right int he battle.

These maps did not live up to my expectations but overall are still pretty good.
