- E3 08: Hands-On Wii Music
- Posted 5 months, 3 weeks ago by Coop
If you listened to the Somethingcast yesterday you might have heard us talk about how disappointed we were to hear that Nintendo’s big announcement was Wii Music. On the show floor, Veggie Jackson and myself had a chance to rock out with our Wiimotes out. And before you ask, no, I’ve never been prouder of a joke.
Here is the video, with our impressions after the clip.
It isn’t that bad, and I could see it being fun if you are a child or drunk or something. I imagine that it might be a good addition to the Wii lineup for parties, but I don’t think there could possibly be anything in Wii Music that would make me happy they didn’t announce anything else. So much for serving the core gamer; good game Nintendo.

J-Man, I think I'ma have to try that. I know that I get BETTER at bowling while drunk...I only assume the same goes for open-heart surgery as well :D
Raccoonacorn: Ever tried Trauma Center drunk? I killed the patient before even opening him up on the first try. xD
As for Wii Music, here's hoping it's WiiWare, not a retail game.
when it shows the screen i start thinking "aw, that's kind of cute". especially with the dog suit. but then it cuts back to you guys playing and i can't help but feel embarrassed. then again, that's never stopped me so i guess i'll still give it a shot.
especially if im drunk.
Isn't 75% of the Wii library meant to be played drunk?
"Dog suit"?!
The game itself doesn't look bad, but there is a moment when you show the people playing the game, and the guy at the demo booth gives the camera a look like, "Yeah, I know...."
And the fucked up thing is: we're all going to end up buying it.
"It'll be good when you're drunk."
Ah, Nintendo. At least you're good for something.
man... being the demonstrator for this game must be the most painful job at E3. That guy deserves a medal.
Emote with your Wiimote. I'm not too excited about Wii Music (who is?). Not being able to hit a bad note makes me ask "What's the point?". Oh well, at least we get Animal Crossing, WiiSpeak, Wii MotionPlus, and Pikmin from Nintendo.
