Samba De Amigo Wii to have DLC?
Posted 6 months, 2 weeks ago by Coop

A NeoGaf user has found an interesting image inside of an image on Gamestop’s website, possibly leaking that Sega’s monkey maraca simulation, Samba De Amigo will feature downloadable content that will need to be purchased with Nintendo Points. The top left of the box art contains a tiny red square that is impossible to read at its size, but it may indeed be the “Nintendo Pay to Play” image. While they haven’t yet shown what the logo will look like, Nintendo has confirmed that it will be similar to the Nintendo Wifi Connect image with “Pay to Play” written underneath it. The image above, albeit small, certainly fits the bill. Here is the image blown up to a stupid size:

See anything yet? Nah? Me neither. What about just the logo blown up to a stupid size?

Squint, you can see it...

If anyone doesn’t know, Samba De Amigo is a rhythm based game that originated on the Dreamcast and has found itself with a nice cult following. It’s possible that the DLC is going to be costumers or something useless like that, but I would also imagine that the game would feature some sort of downloadable music. If this is the case, I think that Harmonix and Activision have some ‘splainin to do about why they haven’t been able to get their asses in gear with DLC for the Wii. Sure, it doesn’t have a large hard drive, but songs are only a few megabytes each. It’s called compression, people, use it.

It better. You're looking at a big Dreamcast fanboy. There may not be many, but we're violent.
