Sony Insists It’s Listening to Complaints
Posted 2 months, 3 weeks ago by Coop

According to the PlayStation Blog, Peter Dille,Senior Vice President, Marketing & PlayStation Network, has announced that several requests from the gaming community would be fulfilled in the coming months. PlayStation Network Cards (filled with PlayStation Money, like Microsoft Points) will be releasing in Spring, an in-game XMB will launch within the year, and a video download service will make its way to North American PlayStation 3s in the near future. Peter pointed to the recently redesigned PlayStation Store as an example for the future. Gamers complained and asked for a solution and Sony delivered. I have to hand it to them, they did a damn fine job with the new store from what I have seen.

While not as error ridden as the Xbox 360 launch, Sony’s PlayStation 3 has had its own growing pains since it was released over a year ago. Due to concerns over the inadequacies of its online service and the lack of an in-game XMB, many have thought that Sony has been ignoring gamer’s pleas. This is not the case, they insist, and changes are coming sooner than later. We will cover all of the fun additions for the PSN in what Sony is hoping to call “The Year of PlayStation 3” as they are announced, and don’t forget to download the most recent update to wipe the last traces of ugly from the PlayStation Store.
