Super Smash Brothers Brawl is about to be released in Japan. Just like over here, Japanese retailers can't help themselves when they get it early, and there are some lucky Japanese gamers ankle-deep into the game. Screenshots, movies, plot details, and playable characters have been leaked onto the net, so if you do not want the game spoiled, leaving this article now is a good idea. I am going to consistently update this with news, screenshots, and confirmed characters to get you just as excited as I am.
This article will be updated as more news comes out. Remember, spoilers below!
Spoilers! For real!
What we know now: the character list is huge. There are about 35 characters that can be played. The person showing these images is playing through the seemingly epic (10 or so hour) single player campaign. Smash Brothers veterans will remember that even more characters were unlockable in challenge and target modes. Here is a character select screen from the game after some characters are unlocked - this is not final.

It may look final but it can not be. Sonic isn't there, and if he is added to the screen there should be a few more to follow (to make it look balanced, the bottom right is the "random" button).
What are the surprises on the current list? R.O.B. the Robot comes out of nowhere. I have no clue how he could even play. Ness and Falco also came as somewhat of a shock and it seems that the developers have gone back on their "no clone" policy. The currently rumored "final list" is as follows:
Mario
Donkey Kong
Link
Samus
Kirby
Fox
Pikachu
Marth
Game & Watch
Luigi
Donkey Kong
Zelda
Pit
MetaKnight
Falco
Pokemon Trainer
Iki
Snake
Peach
Yoshi
Ice Climbers
DeeDee
Lucario
Bowser
Wario
Olimar
Falcon
Lucas
Wolf
Sonic
Nes
Rob
Jiggyluff
Wind Waker Link
Captain Falcon
Here are some screenshots of the characters above. Wind Waker Link? Wind Waker Link!

we are excited for it because it is the reason why we have a wii D:
Gannondorf looks great but I might have to try out my good friend R.O.B. a little bit.
Yeah, this will be awesome. Mind you, I'm also happy that I didn't spend all that dough on a console with one good game so far (Metroid Prime 3).
Because it looks to be amazing. Melee was one of the best selling games on the 'Cube and this looks to be even better.
Are we excited for this because it looks like an awesome game, or is it more a matter of the lack of games for the Wii?
This is one good looking title....
