Wow, today was packed. Not only did we see some amazing announcements this morning, but we got treated to two, yes two, awards shows this evening. The 10th Annual Independent Games Festival, and The 8th Annual Game Developers Choice Awards.
I would have loved to have been able to post the winners live as they were announced, but because it was being held in this bunker of a ballroom, I was once again without internet. So here are the award winners in the order of which they were announced.

It's nice to see that Portal got the recognition it deserves.
Wow, Portal winning "Game of the Year". Great game but its not a full game, if you listen to the directors commentary when you play through additional times, you hear them talk about how they are looking to apply this type of gameplay to a full-length game. My pics would have been Bioshock or Mass Effect because they are complete games, but there truly is a special place in my heart for Portal. Its seems that for Valve the cake isn't a lie and they actually get to enjoy it.
