Another First 45?!? Ya damn right it is!
This time Paul and I play Gotham's Dynamic Duo, with LEGO Batman: The Video Game. Yes, I was Robin, and no, that doesn't make me any less of a man. So shut up....
At heart, The First 45 is a first impressions video. There's a catch, the impressions we offer are taken solely from the first 45 minutes that we spend playing a game. They say first impressions are the most important, and we feel it is the same with games. If you really aren't pulled into a game within the initial hour, chances are good you won't dig it after that.
There are no exceptions, this is exactly the beginning 45 minutes, from the time we boot up the game. What if the game pulls an MGS and starts with a 30 minute cutscene? That's too bad. We live in a fast pace society, and we don't have time to waste. We just want to play games.
This series is a work in progress - give us your feedback. What did you like/dislike? What do you want to see added to the format?!
Your feedback matters!

??????????
???????
I think nowadays even the little kiddies can show us a thing or two about gaming....Sweet 45....as usually, I love it! This made me want to get this game even more now......
I don't think its sexist to say that its a title to share with your girlfriend or younger brother. Most guys girlfriends and little brothers probably do suck at games. When they turn off the suck I'll stop saying stuff like that.
that is why they made the wii..
but wow those comments you made sure are making a fuss..
I was mostly talking about little kids, because they suck at video games.
I don't think the issue was with a majority of gamers being guys, it lies in the generalization that was made about girls being bad at video games. The other issue is as representatives of a website, you have to beware that making those types of statements not only makes you look bad, but the website as well. This is not a matter of being PC, or censoring yourself, it's a matter of being aware of your readers/watchers/listeners, and that your opinions carry more weight here than they do in your home.
Yeah Coop, that's not missing the point entirely. The implication was that both people who enjoy Lego Batman, and girlfriends, were bad at video games. I know that Paul didn't mean for it to sound like that and I know that his girlfriend is actually a gamer, but that's how it came out.
But I guess I'm just being an oversensitive girl, huh?
do you know who IS good at games? Paul's girlfriend :P
agreed though, my girlfriend is not that good at games so this is perfect for her because it is not hard to play.
not bad but gets repetitive and boring after a bit.
No, Paul, you're not EVER allowed to mention the fact that a majority of gamers are guys. Ignore that fact, we need to pretend it doesn't exist.
Yes, all dudes' girlfriends are bad at video games. You heard it here first, folks.
@ Sarah: feel free to direct comments and questions to Paul, who said it and is obviously offending someone, somewhere, at all times.
@ Voyou San: Sigh. You got me.... /facepalm
actually when i checked it at work it was not there.. TSK TSK
"This might be a good game to play with your little brother or your girlfriend... you know, someone who isn't good at video games." Um okay. So is it all people that play this game that aren't good at video games, or just little kids and girlfriends?
What are you talking about, Voyou San......
It's right there......right where it's always been.....
....the whole time......
is there supposed to be a video??
