Veggie Vending Machines

Japan is pretty notorious for their unique vending machines. I'm not even going to get into what you'd be able to obtain with a hand full of change. On a more positive and SFW note, Japan now hosts vending machines that serve vegetables. In theory it sounds pretty good for those times when you need a snack but can't really stomach a bag of chips, but wouldn't this be a pretty high maintenance machine with low guarantees? Aw, who am I kidding? I'm just jealous

1-Up Mushroom Burgers

Here's a geeky food idea that may have looked better on paper. Simply by dyeing the top bun and adding some mozzarella circles, you can transform your lunch into a 1-Up mushroom (burger). Now whether or not this is actually appetizing is pretty subjective, but let's hope its chefs will at least stay true to the mushroom theme and sneak some in there. As for me, I think I'll just stick with the cake.

Garden Zombie

Well if this doesn't keep those damn kids off your lawn, I don't know what will. The Zombie of Montclaire Moors Sculpture is a twisted creation by artist Alan Dickinson for the zombie fan gone too far. So if you want to make your neighbors totally crap their pants then head on over to Design Toscano and order your own creepy zombie garden statue for $89.95.

Soapsicles

I must be really hungry or something because these Soapsicles have left me drooling and clawing at my computer screen. Coincidentally my fingers just so happen to fall on the keyboard in an uncanny pattern, actually creating words. Yeah, this isn't me. Just my hunger hallucination as I continue to crave anything and everything.

Soapsicles are available from Spoon Sisters in four different flavors for $8.50 each. If you have a nervous fit and actually try eating one, it won't hurt you (but it probably wouldn't taste too good either). In other words it is "kid safe". Now lets just hope an ice cream truck doesn't drive by because I will so accost everything in my way, including the driver.

Human Mirror

Improv Everywhere is at it again with yet another public syke out. The Human Mirror performance featured 16 sets of identical twins on a subway train. The twins sat/stood across from each other and mirrored the other's movements. Now, warning to those of you who are freaked out by twins, there is a whole lot of twin-ing going on up there. Yeah, just try and imagine how surreal of a ride that must had been for the other passengers.

R/C Flying Cockroach

Oh dear God, why? Why does this exist?! Cockroaches are big and fast enough as is and many of them fly. So...why?? You know, there is absolutely no one on this planet that I'd trust with this thing, other than myself that is. Yeah, I'd freakin' destroy it. Just think about how dangerous of a weapon a fake, yet highly repulsive, flying cockroach would be. I mean, if someone dies of a heart attack, isn't that man slaughter?

...It's time to set up the mattress fort and retreat. There's no winning against these things.

Destroy someone's life with the R/C Flying Cockroach available from Japan Trend Shop for $59.00.

Nick, if you die for lack of garden zombie, can i have you bronzed and put in my garden? There's no sense in both of us kicking the bucket....

Or if you want to just come back as a zombie I can just bury you there, either way.

Words cannot express how badly I need that zombie. I might die without it. Is that ironic?

I would put that zombie statue in a playground sandbox to make it look like quicksand. I would love to see the faces on those kids. =D
