- E3 08: Animal Crossing: City Folk Coming This Year

Exciting news from Nintendo's E3 press conference! The long-awaited and often-predicted Animal Crossing game for the Wii was finally announced with a brief video featuring the creator of the series, who discussed the new game. It looks like it's official now: Animal Crossing: City Folk will be out in 2008. Hooray!
City Folk looks to sport some new innovations, along with the usual fun and addictive gameplay. Surprisingly, the game will also make use of a new microphone, Wii Speak, that will allow you to talk to other gamers as you all explore the town together. That's right: a new Wii peripheral is coming, and so is voice chat. Finally.
