- Phil Harrison Joins Infogrames as President

It’s been a week now since Phil Harrison’s surprising departure from Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios, and still no one really knows why he left (apparently, Mike may have had something to do with it). However, what we do know now is where he’s gone: Infogrames, the parent company of Atari.
Harrison is obviously no stranger to the video game industry; in addition to being the President of Sony and one of the most recognizable faces in the industry, he’s also worked for world-dominating third-party publisher EA. He’s going to need all of his experience in order to help Atari, a legendary company that has become something of a sinking ship in the last few years.
Ah, the good old days…
Harrison had this to say about his new job:
"This is the perfect time to join Infogrames and help shape the future of Atari - one of the industry's legendary brands. As the game business moves rapidly online I believe we have an outstanding opportunity to create amazing network game and community experiences for players the world over.”
