- Wii Fit Due Out May 19 in the U.S.
- Posted 9 months ago by Sarah
Finally! While Wii Fit has been out in Japan since last year, flying off store shelves and helping gamers get in shape, Wii owners in the U.S. have been out of luck and forced to do exercise the boring, old fashioned way (which usually means not doing it at all). Finally, though, Wii Fit has gotten a U.S. release date. May 19 is when we’ll see this one in the states, which is actually a month after Europe gets it. Just in time for bathing suit season, gamers!

Though it’s not the March date I’d previously heard rumors about (and hoped for), I’m glad that this exercise-program-disguised-as-a-game finally has a U.S. date, as well as a $90 price point. Not a bad deal, if it really can help you get more fit while having fun. Now you’ll have one less reason to go outside when you can get exercise right in your living room. I’ll definitely be checking this one out, so stay tuned to Gamervision in the coming months to see if Wii Fit actually does what it promises.

Fitness is the key to happiness.
ANYTHING that could provide ANY assistance in my attempt to get healthier is welcome. I am excited about this.
Actually Matthew, Nintendo's own website says this about Wii Fit, "There are 4 training categories... that will help you and your family to develop bodily balance control ability, burn fat in the body, help tone and condition muscles, as well as help increase aerobic stamina."
So I would say that there are some (including the developers) who don't see it as universally as you...
yup, I'm really seriously encouraging people to stay fat. go eat some burger king.
i thought it was universally understood wii fit wasn't mean to lose weight, which your teaser is currently stumping me
