The website for the upcoming Fire Emblem DS opened its doors today.  If you can read Japanese, I'm sure there's plenty of info to dig through.  For those of us who cannot read Japanese, there is some video footage to check out.  You might have trouble finding it, so I took the liberty of doing that for you.

When I first saw screenshots of Fire Emblem DS, I was not impressed.  Things haven't really changed after seeing the video (visually speaking).  I was hoping they would stick with their classic sprite style.  Thankfully the animation is really smooth, and aren't as bad as I thought.

Looking at some of the screenshots, I can see that the X button correlates to "DANGER."  At least, thats how I'm reading it.  Wonder what it does?  Hovering over units now automatically shows their movement range and attack range, a welcome addition.  Is it just me or can units move a lot farther then in previous iterations?

All things considered, this looks like another great Fire Emblem title, and I'll be there day one to pick it up!
