Let me start off by saying this: If you haven't enjoyed Dr. Mario in the past, then there's little to change your mind in the WiiWare offering.

With that said, Dr. Mario Online Rx is a great game for those Dr. Mario fans out there.  It stays true to the formula, and delivers a fun experience at a reasonable price point.

If you've never played Dr. Mario before, here's the gist of it.  You use pills to eliminate viruses in your bottle.  When all the viruses are gone, you win.  To eliminate viruses, make a vertical or horizontal row of four of the same color.  That's pretty much all there is to it.  It's a great puzzle game in the same lines of Tetris.

There are a few new things added to the mix.  There's an all new "Virus Buster" mode, which allows four players to simultaneously play.  You drag the pills around with the Wiimote as the pills begin their descent.  Players can also go head-to-head locally or with Nintendo's WFC service.

Visually speaking, it's pretty much your standard fare for a WiiWare title.  Nothing amazing, but it's all pleasing to the eye.

I haven't had a chance to take it online, but from what I've heard, there is no match-making.  That is, you may be faced off against someone who is better than you, or even a lot better.  The whole ranking system operates similar to Mario Kart Wii, you start off at 5000 points and gain/lose points depending on how a match plays out.

All in all, it's a great game for the puzzle-lovers out there.  There isn't a whole lot they could've added to enrich the experience.  I can't think of anything off the top of my head that could've improved it, but I'm sure there might be a few small things.  If you're a puzzle-lover, or if you just can't get enough Dr. Mario, then pick up your copy of "Dr. Mario Online Rx."  If you're skeptical, try to get a demo from a friend.
