With the release of Soul Calibur 4 on the horizon, Namco Bandai is hoping to get the nostalgia juices flowing in fans of the series. The company has announced plans to release a buffed-up version of the original title in the series for the Xbox Live Arcade.

Billed as the "highest rated console fighter of all time," Soulcalibur will make its high definition, XBLA debut with "a variety of leaderboards spanning every character and mode." The only downside is that multiplayer won't be going online, but the company promises tightened "Arcade, Training and Survival modes" as well as local versus multiplayer.

Soulcalibur will be joined by a new XBLA shooter also from Namco Bandai called Infinitum, which features a strange shrinking system that shrinks enemies and the world itself as your ship grows in power. Both titles are due this summer, though no specific dates or pricing information, nor word of a PlayStation Network version, has been released.
Downloading it on Xbox live and will cost about 800 in xbox currency and was Released on July 2nd.
