E3 08: Rock Band 2 Concert: Who Attended? Yes They Did.; Posted 5 months, 3 weeks ago by Veggie Jackson

Harmonix and MTV Games held a special concert tonight at the Orpheum Theatre to promote Rock Band 2, and Gamervision was lucky enough to get an invite. Our VP of Marketing and “resident suit,” MikeyRaw, (also of Somethingcast fame) got to attend, rub elbows with some of the major players from just about every facet of gaming, and see a free concert from none other than The Who! The rock legends put on a killer show, only their second US appearance in over a year, including a half-hour encore, an incident with a broken string that Roger Daltry described as a mercy killing due to what he considered an out of tune singing performance, and some snide comments about Guitar Hero: Aerosmith.

By all accounts, it was a great event that I’m painfully jealous about missing. The mother-flippin’ Who! Damn! Hey Harmonix, next time you have certified rock legends at your event, I better get an invite. Just sayin’ is all.
