We'll be uploading video as soon as we can, so stay with us! In the meantime, you can watch this video to see our predictions and how close we ended up getting.
_________________________________________________________
10:08 AM
Reggie and Cammie close out the show with some Nintendo hype.
10:03 AM
Shigeru, his translator, Ravi, and two others put on a performance of the Super Mario Bros. theme, and it's ... a little tough on the ears. I'm not sure I get how this game works.
9:57 AM
Wii Music won't rely on hitting the right note, just hitting any note at the right time. It will include over 50 instruments, each with their own unique way of playing them. Piano, violin, guitar, drums are shown. There will be lessons in the game. The drummer is named "Ravi Drums." Seriously?
9:54 AM
A guy is sitting with his Wii-Mote and nunchuk and a balance board, playing a virtual drum set that reacts perfectly to every hit. Shigeru Miyamoto comes out and is doing something similar, but with a Wii-mote as a saxophone. The Wii-mote isn't connected to anything, so I'm thinking this is just a demo of what it will look like, and not real. Shigeru introduces Wii Music. Apparently, it's been in the works since the inception of the Wii.
9:53 AM
Wii Sports Resort launches next Spring. Something big's coming....
9:45 AM
Reggie demos the jet-skiing part of Resort, and it looks...pretty cool. Then a swordfighting demo is shown, where you fight against a log. Then the two player mode is shown, and it's MUCH COOLER. Reggie "kills" Cammie, says "this is why they call me the Regginator!" Round two, Cammie gets vengeance, and we see the birth of "the Camminator". This is almost the proof-of-concept for a lightsaber game.
9:44 AM
Cammie talks about DS connectivity with Safeco Field and, coming soon, airports. Reggie comes back, announces the Wii MotionPlus, an add-on that makes the Wii-mote more sensitive. It's demo'd with a WII SPORTS SEQUEL, Wii Sports Resort! It's waaaaay more sensitive, and you can tell this is what Nintendo had in mind for the Wii-mote in the first place. The demo is Cammie throwing a frisbee to her dog, which is adorable and looks fun.
9:42 AM
GRAND THEFT AUTO: CHINATOWN WARS coming to DS!!!!!! WTF!!!!
9:40 AM
Spore video is shown. It will focus more on the character creation than in the PC version, and there will be creature sharing.
9:39 AM
Women were responsible for purchasing 48% of handheld titles last year. Guitar Hero On Tour sold 300,000 units, and is getting a spin-off Guitar Hero On Tour: Decades. Video is shown for it, showing that the two games will be able to share songs.
9:37 AM
Call of Duty: World at War trailer starts. Looks very nice for a Wii game. Co-op is shown, and it's 1P moving and shooting, 2P shooting on rails.
9:36 AM
Lightsaber sounds, and a Clone Wars trailer starts up. Looks like this is not the 1-to-1 lightsaber game we've been waiting for. Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party is next.
9:34 AM
Reggie talks about increased sales from 3rd party pubs, teases a "legendary IP."
9:32 AM

Wii has legs, as shown by their increased sales after the first year of availability. Impressive numbers.
9:30 AM
Pokemon sold like crazy (duh), pushing DS software sales up 29% from lthis time last year. Reggie mentions the success of the female-centric, celebrity ads for DS.
9:27 AM
Reggie takes the stage. Still talking about this year's Animal Crossing release. DS is killing everything, with iover 8.5 million units sold in 2007 in US alone.
9:22 AM
Iwatga leaves the stage and a video is played, showing Animal Crossing's creator and teasing Animal Crossing: City Folk for the Wii in 2008. A demo is shown, and the game is described as having no set goals. When you aren't playing, your animals still remain active. There is a city where you'll buy and sell items, clothes, etc. There's a email system and A NEW PERIPHERAL! WiiSpeak! It's a microphone that sits on top of the TV and captures the whole room's audio. More online capabilities are highlighted.
9:18 AM
Iwata discusses the ridiculous, holiday-season-like sales of the Wii over the last few months. Then he talks about the Wii bringing people together, conveniently forgetting to mention online play. Guitar Hero series has sold better on Wii than any other platform.
9:15 AM
Satoru highlights the success the DS has had with both casual gamers and non-gamers. Also talks about the expanding user base, such as the elderly and apparently, women in hair salons.
9:14 AM
Satoru recounts his first E3. Slowly. He then refers to the Wii Balance Board as a bathroom scale.
9:11 AM
After another brief demo, wherein Cammie falls again, Shaun leaves. Cammie then introduces Satoru Iwata.

9:07 AM
Cammie relays a story about hurting her wrist snowboarding, intros her "new snowboarding coach", Shaun White. Shaun is playing Shaun White Snowboarding on screen.
9:06 AM
Director of sales and marketing, Cammie Dunaway comes up and announces that she "is not Reggie." Ha!
9:04 AM
The lights dim, and a very family-friendly video begins. Lots of happy people playing the Wii and DS. Hey, is that Morgan Webb? Wow. Just wow.
8:59 AM
Man, this is a lot of techno music...
8:50 AM PST
Due to time zone differentials and the breathing issues of certain roommates, (Mike snores .... loudly) sleep was not on the menu last night. Therefore, it's a tired morning, but we're here at the Nintendo presser bright and early anyway. We'll be keeping you updated on a minute-by-minute basis with all the news, reveals and announcements that Nintendo has to offer. Stay with us for the next hour or so to learn what Nintendo has to offer in the coming year.

Animal Crossing, voice chat solution, Wii music and Wii Sports Resort. Not too bad. IMO, this press conference was to please the mainstream media and investors. Maybe they'll do another thing like how they unveiled Brawl; show the goods later in an unexpected announcement. :/
Excited for City Folk and the new Wii Sports, but I was really hoping for a Zelda teaser.
Anyone else really disappointed by Nintendo's conference this year? They had a few half-decent announcements, sure, but no huge bombshells (I don't consider Wii Music a bombshell).
No Pikmin, no Zelda. Hell, not even a Mario game, and they pump out three of those a week!
I think it will sound pretty nice when there are a few people who actually have practice with it (the outro of the mario theme they played sounded MUCH better).
that was painfully awkward.
My ears! Dear God!
AGREED!
another music game in an already over crowded market. good timing nintendo.
Wii Music could be fun, but as a BIG ANNOUNCEMENT, really underwhelming.
His hair was worse.
Those drums sound HORRIBLE.
i'm sorry, did you just say gta ds?
it's really fun watching knowing that our boys are there too!
2008 ANIMAL CROSSING WII YES
Final Fantasy XIII coming to DS!
The Wii gets Halo 4. I'm calling it now.
