- Jack Thompson Walks Out on Disciplinary Hearing
- Posted 7 months, 1 weeks ago by Veggie Jackson
Okay, I’m going to TRY to report this objectively despite the fact that I’m laughing hysterically on the inside.
Today’s disciplinary hearing of Jack Thompson ended early as Jack walked out on the proceedings. Thompson left after filing a “formal Objection to June 4 Sanctions Hearing” and claiming that Judge Dava Tunis, due to an improperly signed Loyalty Oath, did not have the authority to hear his case. In the formal objection, the infamous lawyer called Tunis arrogant and incompetent, questioning her ability to sit on the hearing and even went so far as to threaten to have her removed from office.
The case proceeded after Thompson’s exit, with the Florida Bar issuing recommendations for “enhanced disbarment.” Judge Tunis’ sanction recommendation will be included in her official report to the Florida Supreme Court, due September 2.
My only question is this: Don’t lawyers have to take a mental competency test as part of the Bar exam? I’m sorry, I tried to stay objective, but I’m only human.

"My only question is this: Don’t lawyers have to take a mental competency test as part of the Bar exam?"
Look at him. If his testers can't even see the result before beginning the test, I think they would need a mental competency test as well :P
Maybe he'll get contempt of court charges brought against him, we can only hope.....
He just wanted to leave early to play GTA....
WOW! He is an amazing piece of crap. It's amazing how people like him get so far. I'm glad that he's (crosses fingers) getting disbarred.
Hooray beer! Hooray Floridians in the justice system! Hooray for Jack Thompson having a disbarment soon!
what a douche. actions like that should clue people in that he's just full of himself and full of shit. I would never take anybody like him seriously. just lock him up for frivolous lawsuits.
Well, we all know that women can't read, write, or interpret laws. So he had a valid point there.
I keed, I keed. Women rule.
Imagine if a real criminal tried this.
"Well, judge, I just don't think you're quite competent enough to try my case. I'm gonna leave."
"I see your point criminal. Bailiff, restrain the offender. Use force if necessary."
