- New Lego Batman Character Revealed

With Joker, Harley Quinn, Riddler, Mr. Freeze, Killer Moth, Poison Ivy, Penguin, Catwoman, Killer Croc, Two-Face and Man-Bat already announced, we'll be sure to have plenty of Gotham City's most notorious villains to play with once Lego Batman arrives on September 23. But what about the heroes? Sure, we've seen Batman, Robin and Nightwing, but other than that, we have no options, especially if you happen to be a female gamer looking to protect the innocent. Well no worries, as today marks the announcement of the game's first heroine, Batgirl!

Its nice to see that it's the classic Barbara Gordon Batgirl as opposed to the new mute ninja version, though I wouldn't mind seeing the new costume as a wearable suit. Sure, there will be plenty of fanboys that will have major problems with classic Batgirl, seeing as how she was shot in the spine and paralyzed by the Joker years ago, but hey, Lego's don't have spines. Batgirl will be able to use the same gadgets as Batman, and will have the same types of suits to wear.
So is that it? Will we see any other heroes from the Bat-universe as playable characters? Batwoman, Huntress, Manhunter, the Spoiler, The Question and Zatanna would be welcome additions, but including all of them would be a bit much. Here's hoping that we at least get a playable Alfred, complete with a cucumber sandwich-making mini-game.

This is one character I probably will neglect to use...I'm still grabbing the game though.....

Batgirl looks really weird.I mean how can you even imagine a batman,be it a he or a she,wearing white?
I hope they will change it before they release the final version.
I'd love to play as Alfred! :D
Oh and I pray to Chuck Norris that Scarecrow will be in the game!I love that guy so much!
I'm disappointed I can't play as Oracle.
I am sure this is not the end of the heroes we will see and a playable version of Alfred would be awesome :)
