As of right this moment, there are a handful of specially selected individuals out there who are already playing the beta for Sony’s PS3-based social network, PlayStation Home.  While these lucky stiffs get to enjoy countless hours of online walking around and looking at stuff, we muggles have to sit and wait, not yet knowing the joys of virtual interior decorating.  Well fret not, fellow plebians!  According to the Official PlayStation Magazine, the beta will be open to the public “very soon.”  In an interview with the magazine,  PSN senior director Susan Panico states that Sony will be "opening up the Home beta to the public very soon." 

Don’t have much more info than that, but this revelation makes the recent Warhawk update make more sense.  In addition to some new aircraft paint jobs and a new weapon: the field mechanic wrench, the 1.3 update also includes the previously wooted-over support for the Home service.  That means we’ll be doing our best (read: worst) Admiral Ackbar impressions soon.  How soon?  Sooooooooooooon.
