Angels: The Mysterious Messengers is an interactive CD-ROM that includes audio tracks, video clips, graphic art, text and digital images of classical artwork in a multimedia format to explore, in greater detail, topics introduced by the NBC television special of the same name.
The main menu divides the material into the categories. "Angel Encounters" discusses healing angels, dark angels, guardian angels, kids and angels, near death experiences, and angels and death, each with a unique menu. Access an audio overview accompanied by a visual montage and voice recordings from speakers including Sophy Burnham, Terry Lynn Taylor, Andy Lakey, Eileen Freeman, Father Horgan, and K. Martin-Kuri.
"Angels and You" takes you to the gift shop, offers information on groups and meetings, suggests ways of finding your angel, and provides daily angelic thoughts. The gift shop features a wide variety of angel-themed merchandise, which can be ordered by telephone. The groups and meetings section lists publications, organizations, and angel related stores.
"Finding Your Angel" encompasses exercises, a guided meditation, and meditative images. One exercise, "Angel Letter", allows you to type a letter, click an icon, and send it to the angels. Lastly, the "daily thoughts" section gives an inspirational quote for every day of the year.
In "The Angel World" "World Religion" gives detailed information on the angelic beliefs of several world religions from Eastern philosophies to Native American beliefs and practices, accompanied by religious art. "The Almanac" offers an abridged version of John Ronner's exhaustive Know Your Angels: The Angel Almanac with Biographies of 100 Prominent Angels in Legend and Folklore and Much More. "The Angel Hierarchy" catalogs the choirs of angels: the seraphim, cherubim, dominions, virtues, powers, principalities, archangels, and angels. And "Fact or Fiction" presents eleven questions about angels, addressed by various speakers.
Choose from Christopher Stone and Zeljko Marasovich's theme music from the NBC special, classical compositions by Chopin, Vivaldi, and Bach, as well as traditional Gregorian chants, or The Angels Christmas Album by Stephen Webber and Friends for any of your screens. ~ Michelle Garot, All Game Guide
