The action in Bumping Buggies is patterned after Bump 'N Jump as rival racers battle for a victorious outcome. In this overhead racing title, you'll have to maneuver a small vehicle around various tracks while soaring over hazards and avoiding contact with other racers.
When a rival vehicle touches the car, the wheels will lock and the computer-controlled driver will attempt to run you off the road. If this should happen, your vehicle will be demolished. There are all kinds of drivers on the road attempting the same thing, and rivals will force each other off the road as well.
Because there are multiple vehicles on the road and the computer tries to run other drivers off, you'll have to avoid traffic. While the vehicle can accelerate and brake, it has the power to leap over the competition and hazards. Other than the side of the road, hazards include massive holes in the ground. Crossing these holes is important as failure to do so will result in the vehicle's demise!
When you are about to approach a hole, an exclamation point flashes at the top of the screen. Some holes are so massive that portions of track have been placed inside them. When traversing an extra-long hazard, you'll have to land on these small portions of road and move from section to section. At times, these hazards can be avoided if the track has been built around the hole.
As long as the vehicle remains on the road, points are awarded. The game ends when the vehicle loses all its lives, and your final point total may be added to a high score list. Before Bumping Buggies commences, you'll have the option of selecting the starting track (there are 20 in all). ~ Matthew House, All Game Guide
