Following the same recipe as earlier releases in the popular casual game series, Cake Mania 3 is a cartoony management action puzzle. In an onscreen kitchen, players click on different ingredients, in order, to create cakes and other treats for paying (but often impatient) customers. The third culinary crusade takes embattled baker Jill Evans on a journey through the ages. While she was minding her busy business, the mysterious "Timebender" suddenly appeared, whisking all of Jill's nearby friends and family away through the temporal continuum. To rescue her co-workers and companions, Jill must practice her gastronomic magic in six era-inspired environments, including a prehistoric land of dinosaurs, a medieval village, and a distant future of amazing technological advances. In any time, the secrets to good cake-baking are care, patience, and accuracy. Keeping her customers happy earns Jill profits that can be spent on new equipment and accessories, such as efficient ovens, automatic cake-frosting machines, and fancy display stands.
