Now you can head out into one of three scenic locations to bag some deer in Deer Hunter: Interactive Hunting Experience, the first game of its kind for the Nintendo Game Boy Color.
You can prepare for your hunt by selecting various options such as the type of cover scent and attractant scent you want to use; the former helps mask your smell from the deer while the latter mimics the scent of a doe to lure a buck closer. You can also use a tree stand if you wish, but it can get in the way when you're maneuvering your weapon, which can be a rifle, shotgun or a bow.
Once you're ready, you can take some target practice or head out on the hunt. You can choose from the Colorado Alpine Meadows, a pine tree valley; Arkansas Autumn Woodlands; and Indiana Winter, which is full of barren trees.
In the Map View you can select an area of that locale to hunt in. Deer droppings, rubbings, scrapes and bedding areas will help you determine where deer have been recently. Once you choose your area you move into Hunting View, in which you use the control pad to look left or right in a 360 degree view. You can use your binoculars to get a closer look or use a deer call or deer antler rattle to attract some bucks.
Each kill you make gets mounted in your Trophy Room, where you can view all the animals and information such as their point size and where and how you killed them. ~ Brad Cook, All Game Guide
