The primary action in Lady Bug consists of maneuvering a lady bug around a maze, eating all of the dots. You can also eat hearts for bonus points. As you move within the maze, you must avoid four predatory insects and a couple of stationary skulls. Once you have cleared the maze of dots, you progress to the next level.

Lady Bug is similar to Pac-Man but with a couple of big differences. The maze in Lady Bug is littered with turnstiles whereas Pac-Man has only solid walls and open entryways. Also, there are no Power Pills to eat in Lady Bug, which enable you to temporarily turn the tables on your enemies in Pac-Man. You can, however, eat the vegetable in the center of the maze, temporarily freezing your enemies in their tracks.

Lady Bug also features letters spelling out EXTRA, which gives you an extra Lady Bug, and SPECIAL, which lets you feast in an enemy-free vegetable garden. ~ Brett Alan Weiss, All Game Guide
