Created by Telltale Games' first art director, and inspired by the dark humor of films like Fargo, Nelson Tethers: Puzzle Agent finds gamers guiding the only agent from the FBI Department of Puzzle Research as he travels to the snowy town of Scoggins, Minnesota. It seems that the Scoggins eraser factory -- the White House's only source of erasers -- has mysteriously halted operations, and it's up to Tethers to find out why. The game shares more in common with the Professor Layton series than the classic point-and-click adventures Telltale typically releases, as players must work their way through the story by solving brainteasers that include mazes, riddles, and logic puzzles. Gamers who get stuck can request up to three hints per puzzle, with each hint costing a piece of gum, but Tethers can also earn more hints by finding used gum at various locations. Players must send their solutions back to FBI headquarters, where they either earn scores for easily they solved the puzzle, or they are informed how much their incorrect guess cost the taxpayers. ~ Christopher Brown, All Game Guide
