Set during the Age of Exploration, Pirate Hunter recruits gamers to sail the sunny Caribbean, where the wealth of trading-ship traffic from the English, Spanish, French, and Dutch offers enough opportunity to make the whole crew rich. Built on the same basic framework as Ascaron Entertainment's Port Royale, Pirate Hunter challenges players to build a late-16th century empire of Caribbean towns, trading posts, and island hideaways, supported by a mighty fleet containing several different styles of tall ships.
