Quake III Arena is a first-person shooter that thrusts players into a competition against other warriors armed with the same weapons and abilities as they have. The goal of the game is violently simple: kill others. Death is an unfortunate but repetitive experience, and its only real hindrance is keeping you from killing others, which as previously stated, is the whole point of Quake III.
