In Star Battle two star ships fly down a trench trying to shoot each other down. Two players may compete head-to-head or one player may battle the computer.

At the start of the game the players select how many points are needed to win (from 1 to 999.) A player scores a point each time the opposing star ship is shot down.

The 2D onscreen action shows the two star ships from behind flying within a narrow multi-colored trench which stretches into the distance. The game was clearly inspired by the final space battle from Star Wars as the x-shaped ship resembles an X-Wing and the h-shaped ship resembles a TIE Fighter. ~ Joseph Scoleri III, All Game Guide
