Fighting

Genre

Fighting games pit two or more opponents against one another. The goal is to win the most matches, or simply survive through an onslaught of opponents. Button presses and other controls usually translate directly to different punches, kicks, or weapon moves. Many fighting games offer character back stories, or a single-player "Adventure" mode, but the fighting itself is the sole focus of gameplay.
