Avatar Marketplace Surprisingly Drops BioShock 2 and Star Wars Items

Now Your Big Daddy Can Wield A Lightsaber.

by 00.19

After updating the office 360 this morning, I had to take a look at the Avatar Marketplace. While I'm not exactly 100% sold on the idea of buying clothes for my virtual self, I haven't ruled it out. Of course, now that I've seen the BioShock 2 and Star Wars: The Clone Wars items, I'm leaning a bit more towards picking some of these items up.

Now, I do think that 400 for a set of armor seems high, but at least fair for those people who think dressing like a clone trooper is awesome. Paying that same amount for the lightsaber on the other hand is exactly the opposite of cool. I get that the Jedi weapon is ultra bad-ass, but $5 worth of bad-ass? Conversely, the Obi-Wan outfit is only like 320. As to the BioShock 2 items, there's not a complete outfit to don, just helmets. At this time, I'm not that interested in it, but the day that full suits drop, I may have to rethink my current stance. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to try on some COG armor.

Wow... although the individual price points aren't that high, I can see easily running up a huge bill adding various licensed pieces to my avatar. Is the Big Daddy helmet tempting? Sure. But does that mean I'm going to drop close to five dollars for one? Probably not.

I'd rather spend my money on real clothes.

I'm sorry, as much as I love Star Wars and BioShock, all of that stuff is a waste of money.

I'll never buy these micro transactions, I can't even stand the idea of them. Make em free.

The Bioshock doll however, I kinda want in real life.
