Fallout 3 DLC

Will You Join The Three Rivers Raiders?

by 00.19

According to the British version of Official Xbox Magazine, several more details about the next batch of Fallout 3 DLC have sprung up. The March shipping issue will have a feature on "The 'Burgh," and what you can expect to find when you arrive in western Pennsylvania.

The content takes place in the industrial district, which is split into a few sections: an abandoned steel yard, a  dungeon-esque area, and a settlement divided into slave dens and an upper class community. "The 'Burgh" will also focus more on the Raiders you so frequently shot to bits in the standard game. Reportedly, you'll actually be able to interact with the villains instead of getting shot on sight from clear across a city block. The mag also touches briefly on new weapons, like the Auto-Axe. I'm pretty sure that apt title needs no more description.

Despite being delayed, I'm still really looking forward to this next installment of Fallout 3 content. I'm still making my way through Operation Anchorage, and the extra time between the content hitting the XBL Marketplace is certainly welcome. Personally, I'm still waiting to see how, exactly, you'll be getting to Pittsburgh from the wastes of rural Virginia. It could be something so simple as taking a train, but you don't honestly believe that Bethesda would rely on something so lame do you? Then again, their first batch of DLC was accessed by sitting in a chair. Regardless, this is a day-one purchase for me. Anything that extends my time in the futuristic dystopia that is Fallout 3 is alright with me.
