The latest expansion for Metal Gear Online may not go live for another week, but that doesn't mean you can't buy it now. Available for pre-order at Konami's online store, the SCENE expansion has some pretty sweet new features. Oh, and if you're a guy who loves a good cardboard box (and who doesn't?), pre-purchasing the expansion earns you the lovely cardboard box pictured above. Not sure if the SCENE expansion is for you? Check out this video to see just what you're missing.
For $12 not only do you get three new maps, but you'll also be able to play as Raiden or Vamp during matches. Both of them seem to have some pretty sweet new moves like super jumping, and the ability to fall without taking any damage. There's also a ton of new costume pieces coming ranging from rabbit heads to leopard print bikini tops to the ability to go topless for some reason. The SCENE expansion also promises some new tournament modes, which sounds pretty fun for people who have actually been playing the game.
I haven't played MGO since the beta, and while this new expansion sounds kinda cool, it's still not enough to get me into MGO. I'm not sure why I couldn't get into it, it seems like a lot of people are having fun, but it just didn't do anything for me. Still love the regular game though. One day I'll have to finish my second run-through.
