Many Bothan Spies Died to Bring Us this Information

Free Radical isn't "dead," per say, but its death throes shouldn't go unnoticed. After letting loose a majority of its employees, the company is now for sale to the highest bidder (currently resting just above $100). However, not all of the news reguarding Free Radical is sad; some good has come of the layoffs. Wait, no, did I said good? I meant unfortunate, my mistake.
Ex-employee Richard Smith, 3D artist for Free Radical, posted images of the work he had completed for Star Wars Battlefront III. They were quickly removed from his website, but not before they spread accross the internet for eager eyes. One image, pictured above, shows the best CG representation of Harrison Ford since Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (What, do you really think he agreed to do that movie?). The other screens below display Bounty Hunter Shara, who looks suspiciously like Rosario Dawson if Rosario Dawson was in Fracture.
Hopefully the game makes it to shelves, because these renders look relentlessly awesome. The first two Battlefront games weren't the absolute best in the genre, featuring some of the most pitiful AI ever conceived (speederbike go boom on a tree), but hopefully Rebellion, developers of the PSP exclusive Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron, can make something out of the ashes.

Heh, I looked at the top render and thought "Hnmm, that guy looks kind of like Harrison Ford." The middle pic kills it for me, I think its something about his eyes.
I'm in complete agreement with Raccoon on this one. I also agree with Ubrasaur about that Harrison Ford doppelganger thing.
The Battlefront games may not have been perfect, but I had a blast playing Battlefront II with my friends, and I was looking forward to a next-gen Battlefront III someday. I do hope it actually gets made.

I liked the first two Battlefronts, and really wanted to love them. Hopefully this will eventually see the light of day.
