Activision has announced that the upcoming Bond game based on the Quantum of Solace will be released on November 4, 2008. Reports from people who played it at E3 and behind-the-scenes at Activision are optimistic, and it looks like Quantum of Solace might be to the last few Bond games what Casino Royale was to the past few Bond movies. Yeah, I know you liked Peirce, but Craige’s Bond kicks his ass, deal with it.

Also announced is that anyone who preorders the game will receive a token for a downloadable map pack, which will be made available after launch. Sure, I'd prefer a miniature Daniel Craig that says, "You don't have to worry about me" when you squeeze his head, but I suppose free DLC will have to do. At least it isn't launching at the same time as the game. I can’t say I’m incredibly excited about the multiplayer in general, but I suppose anything running on Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty 4 engine can’t be all bad, right?
