Criterion Announces Burnout Paradise Legendary Cars
Where We're Going We Don't Need Drivers
by Coop
Holy crap. Criterion has announced the next-next batch of downloadable content for Burnout Paradise. The “Legendary Cars” pack will bring four new vehicles, each with a codename of sorts. The only one with screenshots is The Jansen 88 Special, which is, uh, the freaking Delorean from Back to the Future. No, this isn’t a joke. No, those aren’t photoshops. The Jansen 88 Special can hover through the streets of Paradise City after clicking in the left stick. That’s unbelievably cool.
But the other vehicles have me curious as well. They are the Cavalry Bootlegger, Manhattan Spirit and the GT Nighthawk. We’re guessing the Bootlegger is the General Lee, the Manhattan Spirit is the Batmobile, and the GT Nighthawk is KITT from Nightrider. The only one I’m really iffy on is the Manhattan Spirit, I have no idea if it’s really the Batmobile, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was the case. It could even shoot out a motorcycle, since they added them recently. I mean, look at it!
Any guesses on what the others can be? This update will cost money, but I know that I’ll be ready with my wallet, flailing it around wildly, drooling at the mouth about the Jansen 88. So freaking good.
