A few months before launch the developers of Warhammer Online, Mythic, revealed that certain content was cut from the launch of the game. The two main removals from the game were some character classes, tipping the Realm versus Realm combat a bit, and four of the six originally planned capital cities. They revealed that these might be added to the game at a later date. Maybe. Mythic has now confirmed that not only will the cut content make a return, but it will be part of the regular, free updates the game can expect, and not an expansion. Here’s a quote:

"Are we going to put [the pulled content] in a paid expansion? No," Jacobs explained. "What I've told the users point blank is that we want to give it to you as part of subscription content. We don't have a schedule penciled in for when that will be coming, but we're going to release it without any additional charge to players."
Sure, it was originally going to be in the game and was cut, so it isn’t technically “new” content, but that doesn’t mean this isn’t great news for Warhammer fans. I’ve been playing it for about a week now and loving it, so expect full Gamervision impressions of the Age of Reckoning in the near future. In the meantime, I have some Greenskins to slaughter – WAAAGH!
