Just Cause 2 Demo Coming March 4th
Will Likely Make You Eat Your Hat
by Coop

According to the official twitter for Sandbox Strategies, the PR company handling Square-Enix-Eidos's Just Cause 2, a demo for the over-the-top shooter will be made available on March 4th, 2010, on PlayStation Network, Xbox LIVE Marketplace and Steam. No word yet on what it is going to entail, but odds are it's going to be something completely and utterly ludicrous. This means you'll all have a chance to find out what I've been saying for months and months: Just Cause 2 is going to be "tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight." Mark my words, friends, mark my words. 44 "i"s.
It really looks like the developers have taken the few things that worked in the original and really pulled them together to make something completely unique. The game doesn't look to take itself even remotely seriously, which is exactly what it needed in order to break free and be as awesome as it needs to be. The ability to hook objects to other objects with grappling hooks is simply hilarious, and should present fantastic situations. Hell, in trailers alone they showed the hero hooking an enemy to a propane tank and sending him off into the distance. It's like Garry's Mod for Half-Life 2, but in an open world and with a story. If that isn't "tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight" then I don't know what is.

I'm optimistic. Cautiously so, but it's got potential.
I'll always take a demo.
I'm not really killing myself for this game but I'll the demo a try.
I had a love-hate relationship with the original game, perhaps I'll check this out.
