Punch-Out, Sin and Punishment 2, Dynasty Warriors Wii-Bound
I'll Give You a TKO From Tokyo.

After announcing that they have a duct tape fix for the Wii Storage issues and a new, nerdgasmic DS in development, what else could Nintendo do at 2:00am? Announce a bunch of games, of course.
A highlight reel (which isn't available online, yet can be found here is above) was shown, revealing Sin And Punishment 2, Sengoku Musou 3, Another Code, Dynasty Warriors, and Punch-Out for the Nintendo Wii. Hopefully there will be more information soon, because I know there will definitely be some happy campers to hear that Punch Out is back. Wii Boxing, once you got the hang of it, was fairly deep and fun. If they manage to not pull a Mario Super Sluggers (see: fail) on this one I will be very, very happy.
Here is a screen grab from the above trailer, and damn does it look like they hit their mark. When Glass Joe was knocked out, French pastries went flying. Perfect.
There are other games shown in the trailer but not mentioned during their conference, like what appears to be an Endless Oceans sequel. Expect more in the coming days on all of that. Where were these guys when they planned for their freaking E3 showing?! This would have killed there!

I am actually too psyched for Wii Sports Resort. But now I can look forward to a new Punch-Out!
Also, will Idolmaster never leave us alone?
I really hope the controls work well with Punch Out. The series has been flawless so far and it would be nice to get some use out of my Wii again.
Good to see Glass Joe getting some work again. Heard he hit some rough times, but it looks like he and Bald Bull will be back up to their crazy antics once again.
Whoa, Punch Out. I had sort of given up hope on that one.
And to answer that closing question: Simple, really. By doing their own thing, they don't risk getting their thunder stolen at E3. Think about it. Look at how much coverage this press conference is getting from the press. People aren't talking about Avatars or FF XIII going multiplatform. It's all about Nintendo today.
That's how they roll.
