It's been known for a while that more DSi colors were coming, but the actual date was never set. Rumors and leaks supposedly stated that Pink and White DSis were in the works for a September launch, but, again, nothing official was ever stated. From the Gamestop Manager's conference in Las Vegas we have word that Nintendo has just confirmed that the new colors will, indeed, be out in September, and are set for a 9/13/09 release. There's no press release of any kind yet, though I'd imagine a formal announcement will be coming soon. Nintendo has a long history of pushing out new colors for the holiday season, and it appears that this year is no different. The fact that Nintendo has Pink DS Lites ages before Sony even thought about the Lilac PSP helped get the handheld into plenty of female gamers' hands, and the color coming to the DSi is bigger news than it really should be.
