Contest: Win the Game of Your Choice!
Just Tell Us Why You Want it
by Gamervision

In the aftermath of the holiday season, money is tight. The fact that publishers are releasing plenty of triple-A titles in the first quarter of 2010 certainly isn’t helping. At Gamervision, we understand, and we want to help. That’s why we’re giving away a free game to someone in our community. What game? Any game! That’s right, the winner can have any previously released title of his or her choosing, provided that it retails for $59.99 or under. Whether it’s a game that just came out yesterday or something you may have missed earlier this generation, ask and you shall receive—provided that you win, of course.
Here’s what you have to do: simply leave a comment on this article telling us why you should win, and what game you would pick if you did. The Gamervision staff will be choosing a winner based on the comment that makes the best impression on us. Make us laugh, make us think, make us cry… just find a way to stand out somehow while telling us what you want and why you want it.
We’ll also be giving away two less impressive, but still extremely free, runner-up prizes. Second place will receive his or her choice of one of the games we have at Gamervision HQ, and third place will get a shiny new copy of Tony Hawk: Ride, complete with skateboard peripheral.
All entries must be posted by 12:00 a.m. EST on Monday, February 1. The winner will be announced later that day. The winning game must be something readily available in retail stores. This contest is open to United States and Canada residents only… sorry!
What are you waiting for? Get commenting!

Yo lemme get a copy of Apocalypse starring John McClane. I wanna get my Monnlighting-with-guns on.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apocalypse_%28video_game%29
Why?
Bruce Willis suckas!
If I was eligible to win, which I'm not, I would want a copy of Mass Effect 2 cause I'm trying to peep them sex scenes...JUS SAYIN'.
Dom,
So you're saying you want Sex...The Game.
Hmmm, what would I pick? Let's see... probably something I missed earlier this generation. Ooh, maybe Skate 2, I never got around to picking it up and it seems like a fun game to play in between other games.
i'd go with Mass Effect 1. never got around to playing it, and i need to before even attempting the new one.
I just sneezed so hard I sucked in a few pigeons during the initial inhale. Protein.
Protein. Protein. Protein.
You should give me a free game because I'm in a terrible mood. I've already got spring fever and probably a regular fever like a dirty, dirty bastard and I'm stuck here in these heartless cinder block buildings and learning. I hate learning on account of me being so smart that I can make forks bend jes' by lookin' at 'em with a crook eye. I wrote a book about it ("the Man What Could Bend Silverware And Such") that deserves publishing once I take all the bar napkins it's scrawled on and bind them together with an adhesive or some sort.
I've been under cover of low hat and headphones (featuring mostly microphones) most of the day. Mass consumption of Monster Energy Drinks (the blue kind) and hot boxing cigarettes keeps me floating and moving like a butterfly in a wind tunnel.
Girls keep looking at me like, "oh, doctor, we'd pay dearly for 3 or 4 minutes in your butterfly wind tunnel!" and most dudes are like, "if only I'd done 4 or 5 more cycles of steroids I'd attempt to challenge your goodness this day" but a few of the squishier looking ones, with buttons on their lapels and pursed lips, look like they're curious about my various tunnels too. But that's a ride that won't ever be opened, boys. Sorry.
I crossed paths with a mangy looking dog earlier... on my way from the parking deck. He looked at me the way a pinto bean probably looks at a taco salad and gimped away before I could gain his favor with a french fry or two. I can only assume he was not hungry or disgusted by the thought of more McDonalds. I named him Ugly Dog in my head and I've spent most of the day thinking of someway to catch him on the way back that I might jam him in the mailbox of an enemy (or someone who does not give me a prize) and infect them with rabies most foul and what was probably a bad case of doggie ball rash.
This dog, it seems, has captivated a Nation (if you consider me a Nation, which many people do).
I just sneezed again and this time 3 completely intact pigeon skeletons flew out and perched on my computer. These were likely the ones I'd just inhaled since the ones I crammed up my ass yesterday were much smaller.
I would really appreciate Batman Arkham Asylum. Ever since seeing Tim Burton's Batman, while growing up in Bosnia, Batman has been my favorite superhero ever. And then after the war broke out, my family and I escaped and moved all around Europe. While in a refugee encampment in Germany, my father had scraped some money together and got me my first gaming system, a Super Nintendo. But I could have only one game on account of our limited finances. I knew it had to be a Batman game. And the game I got was Batman Returns. Even though in retrospect it may not have been the best game out there, at the time I loved it. I realized that I only loved it because it was associated with my favorite superhero, and not because it was a good game. Ever since then I have been expecting a good Batman game. And Batman: Arkham Asylum seems to be it. I played the demo on my 360 and at stores and I was blown away by it. I don't buy games very often, because I can't really afford it. I was going to buy it sooner, but there were just too many bills to be paid. I will eventually buy it when it when it drops down in price, but if Gamervision got it for me, it would make things that much easier and help me fulfill a childhood wish of playing an actually good game of my favorite superhero. Thank You.
Well I'm not one to always be looking for something for nothing, but this is a nice opportunity to simply ask for something free. I would also like to mention that I haven't had the chance to work much over the past week, or so, because I came down with bronchitis. As if I weren't already not working enough; this had to happen.
There aren't that many titles that I have missed over the last year that I was interested in owning for myself. The past year was a "pick and choose your battles" year that I didn't even get the opportunity to pick many at all. I wish I didn't get on the Ratchet & Clank: Future Tools of Destruction bandwagon so late. I know that I can afford to pick up Quest for Booty but am unsure if I will be able to even afford A Crack In Time any time soon. I won't be picking up any games on my list on time at all this coming year (other than the already paid off pre-order for Star Trek Online) and don't even know that I will be able to even pick up games I've wanted from the past (i.e. Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time).
I'm unsure if this is a compelling enough [story] that you may be looking for, if any story at all, but I also didn't know what you were looking for. I was going to just simply have stated "I would like a copy of Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time," or "Can I please have a copy of Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time?"
Thank you for the consideration of being able to help a gamer in need. Thank you very much.
Damnit Ozy just played the trump card - Bosnian Refugee.
I think I should win because I'm a poor, jobless, college student!
The Game I would pick would probably be Mass Effect (the first one lol)
I would pick this because all of my friends played it and are getting mass effect two, and I want to get into the game lol.
Being in college, money is always tight. Whether it's for supplies, or food, can't always afford to get the games that always come out. Also got health insurance to cover as well, Doesn't help that this quarter is loaded with goodies. Another thing that doesn't help is lack of hours at my job. No hours=no money=not so happy J Bling Blang No hours=no money=not so happy J Bling BlangNo hours=no money=not so happy J Bling BlangNo hours=no money=not so happy J Bling BlangNo hours=no money=not so happy J Bling BlangNo hours=no money=not so happy J Bling BlangNo hours=no money=not so happy J Bling BlangNo hours=no money=not so happy J Bling BlangNo hours=no money=not so happy J Bling BlangNo hours=no money=not so happy J Bling BlangNo hours=no money=not so happy J Bling BlangNo hours=no money=not so happy J Bling BlangNo hours=no money=not so happy J Bling BlangNo hours=no money=not so happy J Bling BlangNo hours=no money=not so happy J Bling BlangNo hours=no money=not so happy J Bling BlangNo hours=no money=not so happy J Bling BlangNo hours=no money=not so happy J Bling BlangNo hours=no money=not so happy J Bling BlangNo hours=no money=not so happy J Bling BlangNo hours=no money=not so happy J Bling Blang SORRY SORRY
To answer the question thats been asked, probably Dragon Age: Origins. Heard nothing but good things about that.
Well you see I am short on cash and with the overwhelming amount of games coming out this year I'll probably at max be able to get 3 or 4. I have no real way to get money except spending even less than I already do (which is not much).
I would really love to get Mass Effect 2 (Xbox 360) if I win though.
Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn that redfox1160 would win Left 4 Dead 2!
bored and poor college student. end of story. now send me tony hawks ride DAMN IT
I'd take DJ Hero :) I'll take the office renegade edition that I'd bet none of you are playing anymore. I'd even pay for the shipping! My wife has banned me from getting the game cause according to her, it looks stupid and she'd be embarrassed for me. However, if I won one, it's ALL GOOD. I'll write up my own review on it, and if I don't play it much or like it, I'll give it away here on GV through another contest with the help of the GV staff.
@shagino: we actually do still play it, and it's not going anywhere.
Ok, the whole reason i should win, lets put the fact i have C.P. aside, and i am one of the best gamers out there.
now with that aside, the whole reason i should win is based off one thing. i will actually play the game, it will get play time.
Mass Effect 2
@00.19 Damn. Had to try ;) I am surprised that you folks are still playing it though.
I believe I should win (but humbly maintain the insight that I may not) since I'd really like to know how Mass Effect 2 lives up to the hype & gushing reviews of amazement about it. I may not visit here too often but I think I'd gain great joy from acquiring a new game from the fine people at Gamervision. =)
I want Brutal Legend because I hear there's going to be a party and I might get lucky.
