Confusing Expectations
So it has been a long time since I got on here and now that E3 has come and gone, I wonder what the future has in store. It is debateable to know what conference was better, whether it was sony, microsoft, or nintendo. Personally I thought each group had their ups and downs and will end up robbing us gamers of our wallets and leaving us on the streets. What that means is that good or bad, gamers will still buy. Now, once Miyamoto announced that a new Zelda was in the works, I both liked the idea and hated it. A reason I liked the idea is that it will be a Wii exclusive game and will have actions pertaining to the Wii in particular. That's not to say that TP didn't have these same actions but that was also on the Gamecube so it semi-counted as a Zelda Wii game. The downside to this epidemic is that the new Zelda will possibly require Wii Motion-Plus. To me this seems kind of gimicky in that all these peripherals will enhance the way newer Wii games will become. So in other words, I don't know what to really feel for this game.
On a different side with the conclusion of E3 this year, I am pretty psyched for the new Metal Gear game going on the 360. Even though no gameplay footage was shown, I still think it will be as entertaining and action packed as the previous Metal Gear games. Don't get me wrong, this could be a double edged sword that could go either way. Either it will be the same quality of the core Metal Gear Solid series, or it could end up being a flop similar to Metal Gear Acid. Then again it is my opinion as to what I think of Metal Gear Acid but honestly, Snake should not always have to move according to a card and get shot at without defending yourself.

I can promise you the new Zelda will be good. Is that enough?

Yeah, there's very little info on this new zelda, but I've played a dozen games in the series over the course of six or seven consoles and I have never, not once, been disappointed. Even Zelda games developed by capcom were top notch.
True, some have been better than others, but in my experience 12 for 12 will earn you the benefit of the doubt in my book.

As much as it sucks that Nintendo basically takes our money without even asking, you can't let that ruin the anticipation for a new Zelda title. Have they ever let you down?
I agree, the new motionplus stuff seems like a gimmick, and as smart business men they will probably make it a mandatory purchase. I can't blame them for that. I can, and do, have complete faith that they will make it an absolutely worthwhile purchase.

I completely agree with the new Zelda. I love the series but I really don't know what to expect with this new one, especially since there's little to no information. The art looks great so at least there's that.
