Star Trek: Legacy (Xbox 360)
I
I have 15 minutes before I have to get ready for work, so for this review, I have chosen to review a game that will only take me 15 minutes to review. Here is the game:

Yes I boldly went where noone has gone before: The XBox bargain bin, and I have this to say about this game:
The goal of the game is supposed to be going through a "Trek" episode that spans the entirety of the Star Trek universe (from Captain Archer and his franchise destroying Enterprise NX01 to Captain Picard and the Romulan/Borg pwning Enterprise 1701-E). The story is intriguing, but you will get so frustrated with the gameplay that you will quickly lose interest in the story.
On the bright side, the ships look beautiful. Shield impact and phaser fire are quite nice. Damaged hull plating is even more beautiful. Warp speed LOOKS like warp speed, too. The captains are voiced by their original actors, keeping up with originality. It was cool hearing Scott Bakula yell out, "Tripp, I need all the power you can give me!" It is easy to get lost in the cosmetic if you're a trekkie like me.
You quickly lose sight of this in the third Archer mission. I never even got to Captain Kirk before I put this game down. Missions become very annoying. You spend 30minutes to an hour PER mission, only to fail it and have to start at the very beginning. This was when I decided the game wasn't worth it.
Storyline: 5
You apparently chase an alien fugitive through all iterations of Trek. You start with Archer, then Kirk, then Picard (with cameos from Ms. Janeway and possibly Mr. Sisko). The story is an interesting one, but you will never get far enough to actually enjoy it.
Gameplay: 1
You can't steer your ship, all you do is fight (which is not the Federation way), and when you fail a mission that takes you an hour, you must start it again. Enough of a reason to keep this game in the bargain bin.
Music/Sound: 4
Typical Trek, but the music does get old fast.
Overall: 3
Total Playtime: 5 Hours
Time it took to write review: 20 minutes (oh no I need to go to work!)
Status of game: TRADED IN!

Didn't I say "WHY?" when you bought this game? I think I did. Scratch that, I KNOW I did.

great review, especially under time restraints. It's a damn shame, too. Every time I go to Gamestop I see this game and consider buying it. Now I know better.
Also, I do it Gamervision style, too.
