¡Dios mio! again. It seems even casual references to a game in this blog ensure that the wrathful gaze of PETA will soon fall to them.

This time around, the People for the Erroneous Transmission of Assholery-- er, I mean, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals have set their crosshairs on the Cooking Mama series, producing a parody they are calling Cooking Mama: Mama Kills Animals.

PETA's reasoning goes that that darn Cooking Mama has been using meat in her magical kitchen creations so much, it's only fitting that the game represents the whole truth of her barbaric deeds.

The problem? It kinda looks effin metal.

Gamasutra's Eric Caoili describes it thusly:

As with the spoofed titles, Mama Kills Animals has players scoring points by assembling a meal, but they'll need to do so through bloody but cartoonish minigames, like pulling out a bird's intestines and cutting off a turkey's head.

Awesome.

Mike Fahey of Kotaku notes that it's also not bad, as flash game parodies go. And for those anxious about the tone of the piece, the titular Cooking Mama does see PETA-approved redemption by the end.
