Drama Llama - PETA Takes on Cooking Mama!
¡Dios mio! again. It seems even casual references to a game in this blog ensure that the wrathful gaze of PETA will soon fall to them.
This time around, the People for the Erroneous Transmission of Assholery-- er, I mean, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals have set their crosshairs on the Cooking Mama series, producing a parody they are calling Cooking Mama: Mama Kills Animals.
PETA's reasoning goes that that darn Cooking Mama has been using meat in her magical kitchen creations so much, it's only fitting that the game represents the whole truth of her barbaric deeds.
The problem? It kinda looks effin metal.
Gamasutra's Eric Caoili describes it thusly:
As with the spoofed titles, Mama Kills Animals has players scoring points by assembling a meal, but they'll need to do so through bloody but cartoonish minigames, like pulling out a bird's intestines and cutting off a turkey's head.
Awesome.
Mike Fahey of Kotaku notes that it's also not bad, as flash game parodies go. And for those anxious about the tone of the piece, the titular Cooking Mama does see PETA-approved redemption by the end.

@FemJesse: Yeah, it's like environmentalist groups setting fire to SUVs. Not only have you failed to make a point, you've demonstrated you're more uncivilized than the other guy.
But Bloodthirsty Cooking Mama will never not be funny.

I also wanna take back the right to wear fur in public without getting shit dumped on you. Although you may look like a caveman, you should be able to wear whatever you want. Its like Barbarians dumping stuff on Barbarians. Barbarians rights!

The game was kinda cute. I beat it in 5 minutes thanks to my stylus, even the mama has a change of heart round.
PETA always gets pissed this time of year about the defenseless turkies.
How come PETA doesn't stand up against eating Octopi, Scorpions, or the defenseless Gooeyduck? I suspect it would make them very popular with foreign countries.Or are they only against eating "American" meats because we're the only people that will listen to their shit?

Isn't it wonderful that there are people in this world with enough free time and resources that they can spend all their time and effort trying to get everyone else in the world to think exactly like they do?
I hope someday everyone in the world is free to think exactly the way PETA wants them to.

To be honest I didn't even read the entire article. My apologies. I do, however, I think PETA is out of their mind!

theres a page where you can write to Magesco. PETA already has a default letter for you to use....I took the liberty of editing it
"I love the Cooking Mama series and PETA's new parody of it, but I would love to see Mama take part in the raising of these meat animals in the factory farms. Theres no doubt that countless fans of the series would play it!
Animals raised and killed for food have no federal legal protection from the horrific abuses that they suffer, including neglect, mutilations, chronic pain, and crippling, and I would love to see a more disgruntled Mama stand up for these abuses.
Please consider adding a factory-farmer Mama to your wonderful series."

I gotta admit, I'd like to see a faster death to the meat animals instead of the delayed killing and letting them writh in pain like that, but i'll never stop eating meat because of it:/ I mean hell, you think a bear cares if the person its eating alive writhes in pain before it dies???? uh, no. Save a human, eat a bear XD
