Animal Crossing Wii Promised For 2008
Good News... If You Live in Japan

Don’t judge me for being an Animal Crossing fan. I can’t help it, and I can’t explain it. There’s just something addictive about that little virtual town and all of its animal inhabitants. Not all games have to be murder-simulating alien porn, you know. Besides, I’m not the only one who’s into it, as the series is one of Nintendo’s biggest franchises. So naturally, we’ve been wondering when we’re going to see Animal Crossing on the Wii.
Nintendo’s answer? 2008… but only in Japan. That’s right, the game only appears on Japan’s launch schedule. The good news is that the game’s obviously coming along, so hopefully we’ll get it in the U.S. early next year. In the meantime, I guess I could see how the animals in my old Gamecube town are doing. It’s been so long since I left them. I imagine by now Bedford Falls is overrun with weeds. Probably mutants, too.
