We Take a Closer Look at the Movie Trailer
by Sarah
We're ridiculously excited for Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, the long-awaited adaptation to Brian Lee O'Malley's comic series, to come to theaters this August. After the movie trailer hit the internets, we couldn't help but over-analyze every single frame. Check out our thoughts, as well as a side-by-side comparison to the source material, in the latest edition of Frame By Frame.

As a huge fan of the graphic novels, I am beyond stoked that this actually looks awesome.
Thank you so much for this break down! Pointed out a lot of things I did not notice, very helpful. Can't wait for the movie!!
Good work guys. That's what I call thorough,
movie looks great
I would have been interested to hear more about the things that aren't the same in the books. For instance, he never fights Roxanne indoors, and is only punched into the rafters that way by a robot built by the twins. As well, the 'KO' sound in the trailer during his fight with Matthew Patel is probably there only for show; the blow that's currently being shown is the opening move to the fight. Lastly, Todd and Scott aren't wearing the same shirts for the bass-fight in the book as they are in the trailer. From that, we can probably take that they've compressed some of the scenes together to make the movie flow better. Since the 'Zero' and '3' shirts are the ones being worn during the battle at Honest Ed's, they probably took that part out.
Good catch on the characters, though. I couldn't find Kim Pine or Knives anywhere until you pointed them out. And I always thought Wallace would be more asian looking.
Are you guys going to do another one of these for the new trailer?
