Resident Evil Wii-Make in the Works, Probably Japan Only
Too Bad for Survival Horror Fans Worldwide
by Sarah

It should come as no shock to anyone that Capcom is working on yet another Resident Evil remake for the Wii. After all, Resident Evil 4 did well on the system, and many gamers claimed that the Wii version was the best out of the three consoles the game was available on. This time, Capcom is hard at work remaking the original Resident Evil, which they also did on the Gamecube in 2002. Unlike that version, however, it looks like Resident Evil Wii will most likely only be available in Japan.
This is also not very surprising, given that the Resident Evil Zero Wii-make was also a Japanese exclusive. While I’m not sure that we needed yet another RE-make, there’s no doubting that the game would sell. Capcom isn’t completely ruling out a release outside of Japan, though, according to Siliconera:
“At the moment, like Zero, this is Japan only. That could change but that’s the current situation.”
Sounds promising! If you do live in Japan and happen to be a huge fan of both zombies and Wii-makes, you can look forward to this game on December 25. Be sure to let the rest of us know how it is.
