Yakuza 3 Pre-Order Bonuses Detailed, More Than Just Costumes
Reserve the Game, Get Free DLC
by Sarah

A few weeks ago, it was revealed that upcoming PS3 exclusive Yakuza 3 would be getting a GameStop pre-order incentive: a five dollar discount, some two-player minigames, and a few new costumes. While that's nice and all, and I don't think anyone was about to complain about free extra content, Sony has just announced that in addition to GameStop's reserve bonus, those who pre-ordered the beat-em-up would be getting even more content. This should give you another solid reason to plan on buying the third game in the critically loved, but commercially unsuccessful Yakuza series.
According to the PlayStation blog, the bonus is as follows:
4 pieces of DLC will be packed into the game via a special code card. This will allow players access to the following content:• Battle for Survival – Take on all the bosses of Yakuza 3 as Kazuma
• All-Star Tournament (7 character tournament)
• All-Star Tag Tournament (8 team tournament)
• Haruka’s Request – This unique series of challenge missions will send you on a task of exploration throughout the entire Yakuza world, playing mini-games and entertaining Haruka.
A retailer wasn't specified, so I assume that means all of you GameStop-haters can get the free DLC no matter where you reserve the game. However, when this is added to the mega video game retailer's five dollar discount, it sounds like you're getting a good amount of content for a fair price. Hopefully Yakuza 3 lives up to expectations and manages to sell well enough in North America that the series continues to be localized outside of Japan.
